Short courses at ITI

As part of our ongoing teacher development programme, we we are offering the following short courses for practising teachers, to be held here at ITI, İstanbul.

Short courses run for five hours a day on consecutive Saturdays or for two and a half hours a day from Tuesday to Friday; a total of ten hours in each case.

Each course costs 150 YTL payable in advance.

N.B. Courses will only run with between six and eighteen participants and we will inform you if your course is over- or under-subscribed as soon as we possibly can.

Course descriptions

Working with teachers

A course for for managers, DOSs, co-ordinators, and teacher trainers and anyone who supervises teachers. The course looks at how to provide educational support to teachers.

Teaching Resources

A practical course exploring how to supplement and adapt your course book by using authentic film, music and other resource material in the classroom to motivate and inspire learners.

Drama & NLP

A practical course exploring how to use drama, NLP and other whole person learning techniques in the classroom.

Teaching & Assessment

A practical course exploring how to assess language and language skills. The course will explore and practise the skills of test construction.

Developing Language Awareness

A course analysing the grammatical, lexical, phonological and syntactic features of English and how they can be introduced and practised in the classroom.

Developing Language Skills

A course analysing the skills of speaking, writing, listening and reading and how they can be developed and practised in the classroom.
